LRGB image
SN 2011fe (marked with green cursors) is a type Ia supernova in the Messier 101 (Pinwheel) galaxy. It was discovered on 8/24/2011 by the Palomar Transient Factory survey. My image captured this supernova 7 months + 24 days later.
